2001 Chrysler Seabring Convertible in Amity, Indiana

I have a xxxx Chrysler Seabring Convertible. It has a clean and clear title.
It has a rebuilt motor in it with about 40,000 miles on it with 178k reading on the odometer. It has a new battery, some of the tires are new, the starter is new, a couple of the 02 sensors are new as well.
The top still works, all power windows and locks still work, 5 disk cd changer still works, cold A/C and hot heat.
The problem it just started having is that it just went into limp mode, I do not know much about cars so I do not want to deal with it, might be super simple or might not be but from what I looked up limp mode is a fail safe mode so no other damage is done to the transmission. The check engine light didnt come on so I really dont know why it went into limp mode so I will let someone who knows more about cars deal with it.
